How to take screenshots Mac OsX Apple

How to take screenshots by using shortcuts
Shortcuts or specific key combos are very easy to remember and will save some time in the long run.
Entire screen
> Hold Shift + CMD + 3
On your main screen bottom right corner will appear small window, where you can preview and edit your screenshot. Your screenshot is saved as an .png-file to your desktop.

Selected area of the screen
>Hold SHIFT + CMD + 4. Drag with your mouse the selected area and when you release, screenshot will be taken.

Selected window
> Hold SHIFT + CMD + 4. Then press SPACE bar and click the window.

How to take screenshot with onscreen controls
If you have updated your Mac OsX to Mojave ( 10.14 ) or to the latest, you are able to use assisted method.

>Hold SHIFT + CMD + 5 On your screen, at bottom center, will appear a small menu window, where is presented different options to take screenshot.
From right to left:


>Entire Screen
Click the Entire Screen- icon and your mouse pointer will change to camera-icon. Click screen or CAPTURE and your entire screen will be captured as an screenshot.

>Selected Window
Click the Selected Window- icon and your mouse pointer will change to camera-icon. Click window you wish to capture and your entire window will be captured as an screenshot.

>Selected Area
Click the the Selected Area-icon and drag with your mouse the area you like to capture. Then press CAPTURE in the onscreen controls or hit ENTER-key.

>Record Entire Screen
Click the Record Entire Screen-icon and your mouse pointer will change to a camera-icon. Click to a screen to start recording or click RECORD in the onscreen controls.
To stop recording click STOP in the top menu bar or press CMD + CTRL + ESC

>Record Selected Area
Click the Record Selected Area-icon and on your screen will appear selected area. You can drag the area as you wish. Click RECORD in the onscreen controls.
To stop recording click STOP in the top menu bar or press CMD + CTRL + ESC
To exit from the Assisted Screenshot Menu, press ESC
After capturing your screenshot or screen recording, on the bottom right corner will appear thumbnail and by clicking the image, you are able to preview or edit your image/video.
How to edit your screenshots and screen recordings

After a screenshot or screen recording has captured, on the bottom right corner will appear a thumbnail. Clicking this image you are able to edit, crop, trim and share your image. Thumbnail will enlarge to preview mode and give options to master your image.
For screenshots you are able to add text, pointers, crop the image and share it.
Screen recording is possible to trim and edit the length of the recording.
If there is no action made, screenshot or recording will automatically saved to your desktop.
How to record screen with Quicktime Player
If you haven’t updated to the latest MacOS, you are able also to record your screen with Quicktime Player. The player itself is installed with your MacOS, so
>Open Quicktime Player
>Open Quicktime Player Menu and FILE section.

>By clicking new Screen Recording, on the main screen will appear Screen Recording- control center.

From the Screen Recording- unit, you are able to choose audio-options.
By clicking RECORD-icon it will give you new options to either record entire screen or selected area.

Either select entire screen by clicking screen or drag an area to record.

Confirm recording. To stop recording press STOP-icon on top menu. Captured recording will appear on your screen to view.
